3 Days, 3600 Miles and 1 Ocean

the next two weeks are going to be disturbed by a quick trip back to the US. my mom guilt tripped me into flying back for three days so i would be able to attend my brother's college graduation with the rest of the family. it is such a pain to deal with customs and flying hours over the atlantic for three days. three days that will be filled with family events and not much time to do what i want. don't get me wrong, i love my family to death but its been so long since i've been in the US and there are things i would like to do. however, these things will have to wait until summer when i come back to the states for a couple months.

i really have to learn this guilt trip that mom's use. i am good at it but moms master the guilt trip. there is a saying about mastering an area, something like it takes 10,000 hours. this is the equivalent of 1,250 days. i guess it would seem reasonable for a mom over the lifetime of her children to master the guilt trip. i don't need any children so it will probably take me a bit longer. either way, i hope you were good to the moms in your life yesterday.
